Hamilton schools with the highest and lowest COVID-19 vaccination rates

The health of children attending lower SES schools is imperiled by lots of preventable factors, other than Covid. Childhood poverty and deprivation create health impacts that last well into adulthood (see the huge literature on adverse childhood experiences).

I would love to see public health authorities share aggregated information about students' access to the social determinants of health, beyond the Covid context - and advocate for improvements! How do our province's housing, urban planning, social, and other policies affect our youngest generation? And what can we collectively do to give children a better future?

Just one example: kids at Bernie Custis are in a high-traffic part of the city, with limited access to parks... yet their school lacks some of the sports ammenities available in higher SES schools.
