BB use to be about having a discussion on culturally sensitive topics like these. I remember Erika in BB4 saying that Jee, “should go back on a slow boat to China.” They aired it along with showing Erika apologize and there seemed to be a teachable moment in the exchange.

I don’t know why they stopped doing this. I think possibility it just a result of society as a whole just wanting to pick side rather than doing to work to sort through the nuances of things.

So CBS will avoid airing it to avoid controversy. One group will say it’s racist, the other group will blame SJW. People will retreat to their side and no discussion will be had. Rinse and repeat until next time
