Why haven't people lost faith in god?

To me regardless of what you believe, the (should be) true purpose of it all is to be a good person and share that throughout the world. I was raised in a pretty strict Church of Christ family and went to a CoC school. I remember one of my first thoughts that went against the church was wondering why they hated on how people worshiped (instruments). To me, this went against the message. Honestly i think the movie Dogma got a lot right. I was always just super into the story of Jesus and trying to better and heal the world and that is what shaped who I am today. It is just my two cents, but no matter who you believe, be a good person and help make the world a better place.
