What is the difference between Cleopatra, Hamilton, Hermione, and the Little Mermaid?

Came here to say this. We also don’t know what color skin Cleopatra had. We can guess, we can assume, but there really aren’t hard exact lines defining where people with higher levels of melatonin existed or didn’t exist. Even with Macedonian ancestry she could appear “black” to our modern perception of race. There were undoubtedly dark skinned Macedonians. We don’t have photos to back up any opinion.

Also, there’s a massive history of entertainment casting white people as dark skinned characters, so who the fuck cares if a dark skinned person plays someone who was light skinned? As long as it’s not a racist stereotype and all light skinned people are banned from entertainment roles, it really does not matter.
