[Help] Dominance issues

I don't agree with certain methods, but I wish people would stop saying there are no dominant dogs. If you have one, you know there are. There are dogs who naturally take over in a litter of siblings. Some of these dogs go on to become more strong willed and possibly aggressive. I have one now. I've had him since he was 8 weeks old. The breeder told me he was the leader/dominant of his litter of 12. I'm not huge on breeder-speak, and Ive been in the pet care business for 15 years working mostly as a vet tech but also in dog daycare and kennels, I understand a lot of dog behavior. My pup from the day I got him has behaved like no other dog I've ever had. Everything about him screams "I'm smarter than you, I'm the boss." Yes, he's a smart breed but I've had it before and never dealt with this personality. From day one I raised him much like my other dogs and from day one he has challenged me. Yes, he learns and obey sometimes. He can be very sweet. But he still challenges me constantly. I think there are less dominant dogs out there than some people think, but they do exist.
