I’ve seen his wife many times when our paths randomly crossed, but only at the grocery store and such. We don’t travel in the same social or professional circles.

A couple of nights ago, one of my best friends texts me and she says “OMG! It finally happened! I saw your AP and his wife.”

She naturally gives me the blow by blow. Says he looks “like shit...miserable and exhausted” and she looks like she “crawled out of a hole.” (My friend doesn’t have much of a filter.)

This lifestyle. And my large city with a metro population of 2 million? Feels like a small town most of the time due to these “random sightings.”

I’m glad I don’t have to see them at professional or social events. He says he doesn’t want us ever in the same room together because she “would know.”
