Disclamer, I hate Yogi Adityanath but there are historic reasons why this storm had been coming for past 15 years

In Uttar Prades that are 403 seats in state parliament.

Now, If any party gets 35%-40% seats, They end up winning 200-250 seats in the state parliament.

Before the answer goes any further,here is the population breakdown of UP

Muslims-20% Yadav upper caste-15%-20%

OBC-30% Upper caste-10-15%

Dailts-20%

There are 3 main parties in UP

1)Samajwadi Party(SP)- A pro Muslim party, Samajwadi Party's primary votebank is ((Muslims+Yadav))

20% Yadav population always votes for them permanently

therefore,their vote share is -20+15=35%

2)Bahujan Samaj party(BSP)- A pro Dalit party along with support of Mulims

20% Dalit population always votes for them permanently

therefore their vote share is:. 20+20=40%

So as you can see, out of these two parties, the winning party is often decided only by mulims votes.

So why did the 60% Hindus got pissed off?

1) The votes of 40% Hindu population did not matter for shit because the Hindus are concentrates in only 2 out 4 regions in UP.

2) If SP won,then SP would hire only Yadav and Muslims for government employment and welfare schemes

3)If BSP won, then BSP would hire only Dalits and muslims for government employment and welfare schemes

4)Welfare packages were given on religion basis. The 40% Hindu population was being ignored for 15 years.

5) The BJP took advantage of this situation and promised a 100% pro Hindu government if they won.And voila they won
