Welcome to my new AU, Hotelstuck, where I combine my Homestuck thirst with my Hazbin Hotel thirst, thus creating this abomination. I don't have any solid plans for this AU. I might draw more stuff as I go along, and yes, the rest of the cast will also be drawn. I don't know when I'll upload the next one, but the rest of them are already drawn because I have anxiety. I just want to say that I'm not the best at drawing, so y'all are gonna have to bear with me here. But I did my best!
P.S: Before you dive in, I want to say that some classes are, at least in the comic, gender-locked. As a confirmed thot, I am ignoring this part of canon. Two characters have classes that are gender-locked. You're free to guess which ones it is.

Analysis: a Maid of Hope is defined as "one who creates with/through hope or creates hope". Even though it's a very fitting classpect for Charlie, it's still a struggle (classpects were never meant to be easy, after all). Having to spend your entire childhood being told what to believe, what to do, what to say, what to think, because you're a princess, a public figure, is very damaging, and it's clear for Charlie. She has little confidence in herself at first, and maybe some disbelief. She does want to redeem demons, to make that dream possible, but how could she be considered a hope player? She can't even believe herself sometimes. Being a Maid of Hope is about building confidence in your own happiness, your own convictions. Starting out weak, relying on others (as is usual for maids), is what gave her the confidence to be able to repay the favor, and allow other to rely on her in return.
As for "cool powers", that Maids of Hope have, if they believe with all of their hearts that something is real, it will become real eventually, through the sheer power of belief. Their own pure, genuine beliefs is what allows something to be real, or to not be fake. Through the sheer power of belief, they build their own walls and weapons. They can create hope where there was none, and no one is better at that than Charlie herself.
