How are folks here feeling about the playoffs?

I don't foresee AV icing our best possible lineup in the playoffs and I don't see him adjusting his strategy of how we play with the lead. If we we're fortunate enough to make it to series against the likes of Wash/TB/LA/Chi, the AV Turtle will surely cost us wins in those series. With the difference in such series being a razors edge, failing to ice the best lineup and stubbornness in adjusting strategies will usually cost you a chance at the ultimate goal.

I'm extremely confident in this teams ability and experience, but I don't have much faith in AV doing much different than we're accustomed to him doing. Cup winning coaches adjust constantly and they hold players accountable, just look at Coach Q benching Crawford last playoffs.

If the trend of what we witnessed last game in Yandle getting his minutes significantly increased and Staal's playing third pair minutes, this is a step in the right direction. Boyle needs to start getting rest down the stretch because we know AV will not be playing McIlrath in the PO's unless absolutely necessary. Girardi has been mostly fine the past 6 weeks although his zone clearing ability constantly gives me panic attacks. The PP is clearly improving with Yandle finally getting the keys to the car. The PK should improve when Nash gets back.

I think much of our postseason success will come down to personnel decisions, if we can roll four lines that are capable of scoring we will be a real threat. We have the potential to have our deepest forward group since 13-14, maybe deeper. If AV continues to play Glass throughout the PO's then I think we're going to be eliminated by the Caps in round 2 most likely. I'd really like to see the below foreward lineup down the stretch and heading into the the PO's

Staal/Step/Nash

Miller/Brass/Zucc

Kreider/Hayes/Stalberg

Lindberg/Moore/Fast
