That's hilarious that someone else "prays to the boost gods", me and my buddy say that all the time when we're going toward an empty boost pad. "Please grant me a boost almighty boost gods!" lol Earlier I was playing 1v1 ranked, it was about 2 minutes in overtime and I was hauling ass towards a perfectly centered ball falling in front an empty net, like directly in front of it from the ceiling, it was almost in slow motion. I see the other player coming up quick from the other side of the ball but to my advantage there's an empty boost pad between me and the ball so I asked the boost gods to refill it by time I get there so I can fly up to the ball and dunk on this person for the win. They see the potential and grant me the boost. I get it, pop my car up and stomp it. I'm flying through the air right toward the ball, it's beautiful. I get close and flip toward the ball. BAM! I missed...flipped the wrong way.

The other player cleared it and scored. The boost gods are probably not to happy with me right now.
