I never really told my parents, it kinda happened the other way around.

Before the time of incognito browsing I must have been a lil careless with deleting my Internet history, so my parents had an idea when I was 12/13 (2007/2008). I think we all hoped it was a phase, and consequently they didn't tell me about this until years later.

I eventually accepted myself and finally came out to friends at 16 (2011), but since my family is Muslim I was sure that I would never tell them. Later that year they began to ask me if I was gay, but it stil took me a few months to admit it to them. Some time in 2012 my dad asked me for the 50th time if I liked girls and I finally said "i think we both know the answer to that", and that was it.

In hindsight (they were accepting/supportive, even if they cried a lot) I think they wouldn't have been asking me so much if they were going to kick me out as I had feared- they had known for years (Internet porn) and I guess they were ready to be open about it before I was.
