I took a musical theatre class in high school with my sister, and we became good friends with everyone. One of the boys I had met in the class invited myself and my sister to his buddy's place because he had a hot tub. I imagine he wanted to see my sister in a bikini. ;)

So we went to this guy's place and it was a pretty natural pairing off of my sister and the theatre guy, and myself with hot tub guy. We ended up dating for a couple of months, but it fell apart because well.. high schoolers.

We would catch up occasionally afterwards throughout the next ten+ years, as we knew a lot of the same people and would see each other at parties and such. He tried making a move or two a couple times as well, which I always shut down.

I can't for the life of me recall why we reconnected again last year, but this time he straight up asked me out on a date. I had very recently ended a year-long relationship and didn't want to jump back into something, but I agreed to hang out as friends. Obviously that was a little silly, as I could tell the whole time he wanted more. So I told him such and we lost touch again.

A couple months ago, I cracked open the ol' Tinder app and saw his face pop up. I stared at my phone for a good ten minutes, knowing that if I swiped right on him, and he had also swiped right on me, that it would change everything. That I was ready this time.

We have been officially together for over a month now and I am ridiculously happy.
