Similarly, i considered a guy my friend, he's gay and i'm also a guy. You can probably already tell what happened but i'll say it anyway.

We didn't live in the same town, so we didn't meet often, but we knew each other from since we were teenagers and played online games together, and occasionally met when he was in town.
I knew he used to have a thing for me, and he often joked about hooking up. It was a joke and it was not, but i had repeatedly told him i was not interested and he seemed to get it.

Anyway, he's in town one day and he wants me to come out partying with him and his friends. I accept, and when i show up, it's just him. We talk for a while, i knew what was going on but tried to play it cool. I go home early, he asks if he can come with, i refuse politely and that's the last time i talked to him.

It honestly felt like a betrayal. I thought we were friends but he obviously had other ideas. He hasn't even tried to contact me since that night, which just confirms that he has no interest in being friends.
