How fake logos are applied

This is why everything should have a 1 time usable authentication code. Lots of things use them so I don't see why companies don't use them on their products, especially companies that have many counterfeits. So how it works is you buy the product, it'll have a unique code in it that you have to scratch off or something to be able to read it, then you enter it into the manufacturer's website. Then the site will simply tell you if it's a legit copy of the product, or it will tell you if the code has been used before and when(so you can tell if it really is new or if it's second hand). I'm pretty sure Xiaomi said they were gonna start doing this years ago but they never did. I think a couple of fashion companies were also going to do it.

It's a system that would instantly cut down on counterfeits, and at the worst you can be 100% sure if what you bought was legit or not.

I know I'm gonna get people saying it's not feasible but I've bought something that cost $4 before and it had this system, so if they could do it then any product that costs $20+ could easily do it. Everything has a unique serial number on it anyway so that's half the work done, now just link it to a authentication code or whatever and it's set.
