How far have you come?

Started in high school so I had a bit of advantage with a sports/speed base, and as a result my jump wasn't as significant as people's who started running in their mid 20s or so.

I was lucky enough to be selected for a Seasonal interview by the mods a few months back, and have my PRs on there. https://www.reddit.com/r/AdvancedRunning/comments/51kurr/summer_of_utrimhopp/

Couldn't tell you what I started at for any of my debuts though because I don't think 14 year old me cared enough to log them. Only exception is the marathon lol, which I've actually gotten worse at.

2012 Chicago was a 2:57

2013 Boston was a 3:12

2014 Chicago was a 3:07

Those were rough years though. Somehow snuck in a 1:14 half at the end of 2013 but my marathon training for Boston and 2014 Chicago maxed out at like 25 mpw because of injury.

However as far as growing goes, mentally has been the best. More confident, more grit, more realistic in expectations and goals. I think those have all shaped me into the person I am.
