My husband is on 300 Effexor and Lyrica, and is having the same issues. He told me it is a problem to be touched or kissed, because of the sexual frustration, the frustration of not being able to do anything more. He actually gets turned on, but has no urge or capapbility to continue or finish, so it only builds up to a frustration. We went to his doc today, and explained the problems he has been experiencing, and she informed us that Effexor will have these sexual side effects, and they are not likely to deminish over time. She decided to wean him off Effexor and start him on some other meds with no such side effects, he should be completely weaned off them within 1 week. Hopefully he will no longer suffer from low libido and things will be the way they were before Effexor.
