How to search for a new job in a pandemic

That’s literally not true. You can’t just get an IT job without specific knowledge of at least computers. Even the newest generation only has about 50% computer literacy, and it gets worse each generation back. Computers weren’t even commonplace in lower class homes until post 2000, how are all these people who grew up in an entirely different world supposed to learn IT skills entirely without help in the middle of a pandemic?

How are 75 year old Nana’s who work at the thrift store just enough hours to supplement their SS so they can afford their ever rising property taxes supposed to work in IT?

I think you have trouble truly empathizing with people, or you’d understand why telling people to get an IT job is just stupid. You sound like every web developer in the Dot Com Boom. Completely disconnected from reality.
