How to make a serial killer cry

Oh but it certainly is. Not forgiving is the default state. It takes no effort, no willpower, and no discipline to refuse to forgive, to submit to the biological urge to be enraged.

And? That doesn't necessarily make it a good thing. Lots of things take effort that aren't worth it. I would consider making the correct decision strongminded. I don't feel forgiving murderers is correct.

On the other hand, refusing to let your irrational biological urge overtake rational thought takes a lot of willpower. A weak mind could not resist the temptation to become enraged.

It is not in any way irrational to hate murderers. Most of society agrees murdering is bad. Detrimental in fact. It's good to feel hate toward people who would commit such an act. Forgiveness is in no way rational. It does not need to be handed out to everyone. Some people are not worthy of it. Giving it out to anyway is sad.

Vengeance solves nothing. We should do everything in our power to isolate dangerous people and attempt to rehabilitate them. If rehabilitation fails, then we keep them isolated permanently. But not out of vengeance, only to protect society from the danger and threat they pose.

Really? It does nothing? It would seem to do something if they decide to lock him away forever and keep him from killing again. It would seem to do something if someone took revenge and killed him, stopping him from taking more victims. Forgiveness is what solves nothing. It's an empty gesture that means nothing to anyone but morons who adore feel-good babble.

And what if rehabilitation failing leads to a couple more murders. Was it worth it then? Which would have been better in that case? Someone taking revenge and killing him, preventing any more innocent lives dying? Or rehabilitating someone clearly not worthy of it and risking more innocent lives that just want nothing to do with him?

So go on with your weak-mined belief that there is any rehabilitation for someone like the man in this video. There isn't. Hate is the natural way to feel toward someone like him. It's natural for a reason. There is no needs to overcome it, and deciding that there is, is a weak-mined choice in itself.
