My ex would have a rotating person he'd be really close with. In particular, there was a group of 3 brothers he'd rotate being BFF with. Right now, he's BFF with the "druggie" brother (which = him doing more drugs and led to our breakup) and has painted the other two black. I think the other two are starting to notice his behavior and are backing off a bit. In fact, one of the brothers told me they don't really hang out anymore because of the drug stuff.

As with his other friends, he'd do the same thing. He'd be friends with someone and hang out with them daily, and then I'd come home from work (this was when we lived together) and I would ask, "Oh, I thought you were hanging out with ____ today?" He'd tell me some weird thing, excuses ranged from "I don't trust him anymore," to "There's something off about him," to, and I'm not kidding, "I think he was an undercover cop" (?!?!)

When my therapist told me he possibly had BPD and I read up on it I went "Oooooooh!" I wonder if his friends notice.
