I7 10700k Temperature spiking

For some reason motherboard manufacturers decided that overvolting the hell of of CPUs is a great ideea. They also like circumvent Intel recommendations to make their motherboard the best...

For start run Cinebench R20 and R15 (several times each) and average your scores. Then search for reviews and see what scores the reviews got. If your score is higher than theirs, go in BIOS and change the voltage offset to something like -0.080 V (for example). Run Cinebench again. Your scores and temperatures will now be lower. Not ideal, but hey...

I have the same issue (temperature spiking) on my Ryzen 3600. Changing the offset partially solved the spikes. For reference with default mobo settings and all on Auto my score in Cinebench R20 was ~3656 (CL 15 3000 Mhz RAM), which is significantly higher than it should be (review scores are between 3450 and 3560). Cinebench R15 score on my CPU is 1615 with negative offset, which is crazy considering that 3600X's score is ~1600.

I saw reviews with even higher scores than mine, probably because they had some weird ass motherboard, beefy coolers and higher frequency RAM.
