I'd Like To Make A Cartoon But I'm Not An Animator...

All due respect sir, but it takes a lot more than just time. There is the years of commitment and personal development that goes into making a person an animator or a doctor or any kind of professional. Each of these goal-oriented people are dependant on a lot of help which includes the smooth-running of our society. That the infrastructure which we pay taxes for is guaranteed to be in order so we can freely perform our required duties. And then the volunteer activities that include working for you for free in addition, if that's what we choose. But before we get to that, we have a lot to shell out for in order to be balanced, because nobody gets a free ride. What we are shelling out for is the same thing you have to as well: massive amounts of energy to be consumed so we can use the energy we derive for the better of society. Not to hurt society. You and I make people happy in a very unique, but different way. If we are to combine our talents, that would be great. But I don't need to use someone elses idea for exercising my talents in order to produce a statement. So if you want to use my talents to help you make your statement, you cant get a free ride from me, nor do I have any right to take a wav file of you and make a movie of your performance. (Just ask Shia LeBeouff...). As animators, we know our place. We know that those who want from us do not have the respect or know how to give us what we need. We take a lot of abuse. Few animators are given the privileges of being topnotch stars, and many are given the appearance that they are until no longer needed. Some of us don't have to be anything other than independent, although can produce extremely high quality work in a workplace situation. And most animators cannot produce much more than the cogwheel function they are hired into the workplace to perform. In other words, they cant produce an animation by themselves. Consistently. Repeatedly. Ongoing and for life. Good luck. For your utmost respect, I wish you a full career of astute material from everyday up-to-the-minute world events.
