Does anyone else find it strange that Jessica Dilaurentis was so attached to Bethany Young? She didn't seem like this over affectionate type of mom with her own children. So what's the deal? As of right now it seems obvious that Bethany was involved in Toby's mom's death and Jessica was "protecting her". Why would she do that for the daughter of her secret lover?

We all know that Alison is a fan of pretending to be someone else. She does this often. What if Shauna, Alison, and Bethany knew each other when they were little and Bethany convinced Alison to switch places? Just for the day to see if their parents would catch on... I mean Alison was spoiled rotten and had everything handed to her... So why not see how the other side lives? And what if Bethany decided she didn't want to switch back and she convinced the Dilaurentis family to move? This would mean that Alison is not Alison at all... She's really Bethany.

What if the real Alison tried to tell the Young's that she isn't Bethany and they thought she was nuts? Then what if she ended up at Radley where she runs into Jessica? She also meets Toby's mom and most likely is involved in her death somehow. A death Jessica helped coverup after she realizes she is her real daughter.

Jessica admitted in one episode that she is afraid of her daughter. What if it's because she isn't really her daughter? "Alison" had blackmail on basically everyone she knew so by the time Jessica discovered the truth, it was too late to do anything about it without fatal consequences.

What if the real Alison killed Sara Harvy thinking it was Bethany? Then the real Bethany ran off after Mrs Grunwald found her because she thought that whoever hit her figured everything out and she was going to die. Probably at the hand of the NAT club who was monitoring her activity for awhile. Maybe that's why they started filming all the girls in the first place. (I don't think the club necessarily knew that Alison is really Bethany maybe Jessica told them she was blackmailing people for money and she had to be stopped).

So while Bethany was running from everyone who could possibly want her dead, Alison goes to Shauna and explains everything to her. Together they devise a plan to get rid of Bethany and Alison can finally return home...as the person she really is. But Shauna blows everything not following the plan and she ends up dead.

Then Bethany, who everyone knows as Alison, comes back for real and maybe Jessica decides that enough is enough and she isn't going to let Bethany get away with it. Damn the consequences. That's why she doesn't come home right away. Instead of going to the spa or wherever she claims she was, she went off to find the real Alison.

Bethany finds out that Jessica has been working with Alison all along and has her murdered.

OR maybe Jessica tells Alison that she cannot help her anymore and she kills her.

Mona figured out the truth while looking at the Radley case file. She couldn't just come out and tell the girls that the person they really knew wasn't Alison until she had proof. So she waits until she figures it all out and calls them over with proof that Alison is A. Bethany figures out that they stole the files and she has Noel Cahn kill her. I think Noel did it because Mrs. Grunwald said that Mona couldn't move on in the afterlife because she was trapped by secrets and that she felt betrayed. She once was very much in love with Noel and we know that Bethany has something over Noel. That's why he was fighting Spencer to get ahold of pictures proving that Alison Dilaurentis was still alive.

So maybe A really is Alison... But who everyone else knows as Bethany Young.

I'm not sure I believe this theory or not... It's pretty out there... But it was said that the show might take a really strange turn... And besides... Anything can happen in Rosewood.
