Confused about Grimes recently

I think PoG is on Book 1 and SE is on Fairies Cum First. I'm more confused than anything. Like I just don't understand how Grimes did such a massive 180. I really don't know or get how you can go from songs like literally everything off AA being a super catchy but original sounding pop song to Shinigami Eyes which sounds like a boring club song that's been bought off some DJ with Grimes' vocals on top of it.

That's an interesting theory though. You might be right about why it still isn't out, because goddamn its been a while. It's kinda sad because if Book 1 really is a space opera with a cool story and lore, it sounds right up my avenue, but PoG has me worried. Still love her other work though, some of my favourite albums
