I find it funny that people like this just can't seem to understand that the 1950's life wasn't as idyllic as they believe it was and that the world changed because of this fact. Housewives (and people in general) were incredibly depressed and were heavily prescribed anti-depressants during the 50s which still couldn't ease the existential dread and alienation of the era. On the surface people back then seemed happy, and I don't doubt that many of them were for the most part, but people eventually got fed up with the conformity and inauthentic qualities of the society. They just seem to believe that everything was perfectly fine until the feminsts/liberals/Cultural Marxists showed up and ruined everything. Its just such a simplistic, narrow-minded view of the world.
