Google is becoming more like Apple in both good and bad ways

Im not an app developer or software engineer so my opinions are not credible but thats how i see it. Maybe you are a software engineer and can shed some light on how long it takes to develop, implement, test, and then fine tune software? and i highly doubt any software out there is bug free.

Far from it I am a scientist and I write code that controls hardware stuff. To take science quality data and not fry your equipment, I obsess over every possible thing that my codes can do / make the hardware do. Isit perfect? By no means! However, the amount of thought, collecting data, plotting behaviours and studying the outcome goes into my codes is quite staggering and exhausting. It has shaped me as a person to demand that bugs be continuously ironed and the need for revision revision revision.

So if the pixel 3 this year was free of these so called "problems" that are apparently so wide spread, do u think people will still think this phone is worth the $799/$899?

Yes people will, but google is far from where they should be to demand such a price. The "problems" that crop up are very basic ones which tells people that they didnt even test their own code. If they can polish the product, then it would certainly be worth $800. They will also have to be proactive. Apple fixed the charging bug in a week. Google hasnt fixed the photos disappearing bug since Nexus 5X!!
