If you have a loved one at Sunrise of Henderson, and noticed anything odd, you’re mostlikely right

I was never given access, and I only had a 24 hour time period. My last day everything was fine I told someone that I was not okay with how that resident was treated in the shower, and that it was inhumane, went on my break, came back and was told I was not “cut out for this” (I am a sociology major who is graduating with the highest Latin honors, held a 3.89 GPA for 2 years, and am on my last year of school, getting my BA in 3) and my “medical stuff” (which is protected by the ADA, and in no way puts anyone at risk) was brought up as a flimsy excuse (also against ADA). I was shut out by every other employee there, no one acknowledged me, which whatever. I cleaned up the vomit after this talk and got told I wasted paper towels because I grabbed a whole roll to clean. I still monitored the residents and someone, the person who says they feel sick daily told me she didn’t feel well, I informed my manager, I was told it was nothing, but then she started putting her right hand over her chest/heart and grabbing when she said she was sick. It still took over 20 mins to get her seen, and they still did not allow her to go lay down, she is over 100 years old. They are still withholding my final check from me. I have gone on their website to try to contact corporate about HR, who had an office right by the activities room downstairs, leaves her doors open, YELLS at the top of her lungs talking crap about employees, while the REM and AL coordinators are in there talking shit on concerned families and laughing. HR is not qualified, she is in charge of ensuring company strategy/goals (like person centered care) are carried out, but she openly brags about ignoring employees and takes up gossip instead. This is all within ear shot of residents, you do NOT raise your voice in anger in a facility like that. I could find no email or contact information for corporate to report these issues. If you ask a care manager about ensuring residents are stimulated or anything about their well-being beyond being dressed (no they don’t get to pick their clothes even), using the toilet, and if they ate they will tell you “that’s not my job”.
