I see your from Jersey. I lived there too. You don't say if you drive or if you have a car. Vegas is nothing like back east. Vegas only has a facsimile of a mass transit system here so if you want to get around town in any reasonable manner a car is required. No trains here in Vegas! No, we don't count the monorail. And if you do have a car? Make sure you have great insurance. People here do NOT drive like your use to in Jersey. Vegas driving is like Deathrace 2000! Everyone drives very aggressively!
The bus system does work but your not getting anywhere fast. Plan your trips well ahead of time and pad your time estimates. Buses do not run on time and they do run slow, especially Monday through Friday.
