Hah, ive got a funny story to tell you. Back story goes like this:

There was this cute, smart girl in my class, i liked back, in high school. Me being 17 or 18 years old myslef, shy af, insecure, and my mind was not being touched by a thought that any girl could like me, i missed a fuckin metric ton of hints dropped onto me by her. She always approached me when i was sitting more or less alone, teasing me, jokingly cuddling, suggest we study together, always asked me to dance together when we were partying together. I wanted to ask her out for prom, but before i got my sorry ass together, a friend asked her before, and she agreed. I ended up going with friend as well. But even that didnt stop her, she had a twin brother, we were friends as well, and her brother asked my prom date for a dance, just so i could be without dancing partner for a moment, and she asked me to dance with her up then.

But i was a dense motherfucker, and i was having none of it. I just thought she was being friendly, because overall she was this very caring about everyone type of girl.

After high school we went different directions, and moved on, without confessing each other. Only like 2 years later i bumped into our mutual friend, who was in the same class, and we went for a few beers, and were talking old times, and he casually went with the line "But you know, that X had a hudge crush on you?" I brushed it off, thinking he was just joking at the beggining, but after a bit of consideration it hit me, he was being serious.

So to all the ladies here, hints dont work well on man. Especially on such hopeless beings in relationship matter like myself. And to the shy guys who has no courage to confess, get your shit together asap, and give it a shot. You have not much to loose, but a lot to gain. Im sometimes wondering till this day what would my life look like now if i had balls to ask her out ealier, and confess my feeling. Dont make the same mistake, that i did.
