The saying 'Money can't buy you happiness' should be changed to 'Money can't prevent sadness'

Money can't by health sometimes. Sure it can't cure the incurable, but it can make it a whole lot easier to avoid everything else.

Easily accessible Healthy food is definitely, in general, more expensive than unhealthy food. I personally can eat for a whole day for like 3 bucks off the dollar menu. Luckily my financial situation isn't so dire that I have to, but I've met people that live off of less than 5 dollars a day on food, and doing that while eating healthy isn't the easiest thing in the world, especially if you don't have ready and regular transportation to places like farmer's markets (whole foods, while healthy and all over the fucking place, not very cheap.)

Living in a place without excessive air pollution? Costs more money than many can afford. Even finding cities without thoroughly polluted water is getting harder these days.

I can keep going, but I think that you get the gist. Many people in low-income situations while they could dedicate every free waking moment on taking buses and going to the farmer's market every week to get an assload of healthy food (if they even get days off to do it) the bottom line is that there's no health machine that you can slip a benjamin into and you magically walk away healthier, money really can buy health if you look at the issue hard enough.

If you're in a position where you don't have some incurable genetic disease and money can't buy you easier access to a healthier lifestyle, then consider yourself one of the lucky few in that minority of people.
