Lesbian porn in gay porn too but somehow everyone forgets it and just instantly thinks of men.

A lot of people are making great points about who the target audience of the pornography is. But I think the naming conventions of pornography are interesting and also misunderstood.

It’s common to hear accusations of racism in porn because “interracial” porn is almost always black men with nonblack women, never black women with nonblack men. Which is true.

But black women aren’t being erased. There is lots of porn with black women, but it has its own category called “ebony”. Is separating the two racist? Maybe. Probably. But it’s also effective categorization so the consumer can find what they’re looking for.

Likewise with “teen” and “milf” porn. They’re not actually segregated by age. Teen porn can and does include women in their thirties, they just dress young and act naive or precocious. Same with milf: lots of them are quite young, they just act experienced and are more forward with what they want. Individual actresses often perform in both categories.

It’s the same with other racial categories. I’ve seen a single actress featured as a black, asian, and Latina performer in different productions, as well as roles where her race is not mentioned at all.
