Because he's objectively a dictator. He and his family have ruled Syria for literal decades, clamped down on all opposition, murdered and tortured dissidents, and killed hundreds of thousands of Syrians. I don't believe this stuff because CNN says so, but because it's what Syrians on the ground and respected human rights organizations have been saying for the past seven years.

Again, stop thinking in binary. It's okay to be critical of U.S. policy, but you don't have to support brutal dictators in the process. Going by your logic, since you're clearly opposed to U.S. involvement in Afghanistan, does that mean you support the Taliban? The world is a complex place, don't be a robot.
