I mean compared to what Russia? China? Saudi Arabia? Are we supposed to idealize third world countries in Africa, South America, the Middle East? Sure Africa, South America, and the Middle East have plenty of good people living there but that doesn’t distract from the fact how corrupt most of their governments are look at Mugabe, Duterte, Mayardit, and Bolsonaro. These countries need our help not our idealization. It’s just a fact that the countries in the picture are for the most part better ran and more free than the rest of the world. Don’t get me wrong there are countries in these areas that deserve to be idealized like Costa Rica, Uruguay, Barbados, Dominica, Rwanda (which has been massively improving themselves), Lebanon (which has been getting better). Eastern Europe there is a lot of corruption in many countries like Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belarus, Kosovo, and Serbia but there are also countries worth idealizing like Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia.
