Inside Underground NY Poker #7

I gotta be honest, all of the guys who came up with us on that trip, including me and Chris, were in a completely different universe, mentally speaking. I remember very little except the first night we went and I pulled a marathon session in the poker room, but not making much til the very, very end. This super aggro guy sat down and was bluffing and raising everyone out of pots. Everyone is mad and annoyed at the guy, but I am loving the fact that he's here. He was also very fun to chat with. Long story short, I get involved in a hand with him, heads up, where I'm out of position with AA. I flop quad aces and check the entire way. It gets to the river, and I check it again. He puts out a bet of about $50, and I instaship it on him. He tanks for about 8 minutes, and then calls off his whole stack of about $800, showing Jack high. I turn off quad aces, and the entire table is completely stunned. I'm dead serious, I will never forget that hand. It was the first time I ever flopped quads, let alone quad aces, and I checked all three streets and then got max value on the river! The guy, to my surprise, took the beat like a champ -- he stood up from the table, walked over to my seat, and shook my hand. He told me that he was seriously impressed that I somehow got him to pay me everything, with almost nothing in the pot, holding Jack high. He was actually a decent player, hence why he had such a big stack. He was taking pots away from all of the knits in the game, and he was pretty good, probably better than me. I just got lucky and decided to triple check quads, and have him outlevel himself. Aw man, I'm starting to remember some details about that trip, as I write this. One of the guys who came with us, Travis, went on the most ridiculous blackjack run just as we were leaving the resort. And I vividly remember the blackjack dealer who dealt the shoe, because she was gorgeous and her hands were very feminine, sharp red nail polish. She made a quip to me about liking guys who were good with their hands, because I had told her that I dealt poker and that I liked how she kept her hands/nails, since people would be staring at them for long periods of time. Rambling now, gotta go lol. Cheers!
