Insomnia screwing up my life

I disagree with the other commenter.

Don’t push yourself to do things like socialize or go on dates when you are sleep deprived. There is something to be said about getting outside your comfort zone... but that is only for people who otherwise are healthy.

If you go on a date when you are clumsy, yawning, dark circles, etc, chances are it won’t go so well.

When you say this person wasn’t very happy that suggests to me that they may not be as sweet as you think they are.

No matter what, you are allowed to cancel plans. When mature healthy people get cancelled on with plans, at worst, they’ll say “ah dang ok hope you feel better”.

There is a way out of this and it is getting healthier, new meds, therapy, exercise, diet plans, sleep hygiene, etc. Going on dates comes when you are healthy and able to be yourself and have fun.

The way out of this is not to push yourself into uncomfortable situations with people that “aren’t happy” you are cancelling on them.
