Installing VTTA in 2021

Regarding the two importing tools VTTA and Mr Primate, they both work with certain things.

My understanding is:

I am a subscriber of VTTA. VTTA at one point imported everything. There were some updates from DDB that broke VTTA imports for some things, and when Sebastian was away (new baby, sick, etc) some things didn't get fixed right away. It was a difficult time for him, and also for his patrons who were confused. As of today, VTTA imports do not require any patreon subscription as Sebastian is working on a new version of the tools and is allowing everyone to use the current tools for free. I think. Today, I use VTTA Importer for pulling maps and full chapters from DDB into FoundryVTT, successfully. I also use it when I want to roll for monsters directly from DDB (VTTA changes the DDB webpage to have clickable buttons to roll attacks from DDB pages straight to foundry, much like the Beyond20 module for Roll20. As I understand it, some import functions of character abilities, spells, monsters etc may not work correctly because work is being done on the new tool instead. I could be wrong on this point though. Importing maps, journals, scenes, tables, work really well in my recent tests.

I am also a subscriber to Mr. Primate's patreon. I use his more often for importing my ALL monsters, items, and spells that I have access to in DDB to FVTT, storing them all in compendiums. It's lovely and works flawlessly. I also use his character importer for my players' PCs, and for NPCs I create in DDB. There is no importing of text and maps and all that with Mr. Primate's module.

PC importing is free with both importers, I believe.
