Introducing Fantasy Strike, a Fighting Game for Everyone

Not every game needs to be designed for you.

A game can still have a lot of depth in other areas besides mechanical execution. Fighting game or otherwise.

I'd have a lot more fun having the full arsenal of moves at my disposal from the get go then having to spend hours in practice mode. I'd prefer to get good against other players instead of a training dummy.

More accessibility doesn't have to mean shallow.

I love the idea of fighting games. They used to be one of my favorite genres before the internet and learning what it actually took to be good at one.

My friends and I never moved beyond basic combos back in the day and fighting games were a blast and really competitive between us. Then the internet came out and we learned to really be good at fighting games you basically had to spend hours upon hours trying to get the exact timings down for ridiculous combos. Then fighting games kind of died off for all of us.

The market's probably bigger than you think. I don't want to study to play a game. I just want to be able to jump into it and play against people and be able to use all the tools that are available without hundreds of hours against a dummy just to have to relearn rote muscle memory again when the next version comes out.

It's 100% the extreme timing windows combos that are the most basic barrier to entry that's turned me off of fighting games for the last decade.

I still want everything else about fighting games. Just that one thing is keeping me from getting it.
