ISIS Executed 4 gay man by throwing them from High building

Saudi Arabia isn't necessary a free regime either. Again, all Muslims don't necessary go by the book word by word. What was written 14 centuries ago as far as societal rules shouldn't fully apply today, as societies changed.

It's just like in the First Testament, where it was said to kill your neighbor if you saw him working on a sunday. Do Christians do that? I don't think so. The same goes for the things you have named. We don't all agree with Sharia law, and yes many if its rulings are barbaric and backwards, but they were valid a long time ago when society wasn't developped, not today. Today, you won't cut off a theif's hand. We have court! Jail! We can freely interact with Christians because we're not at war with them anymore. Who needs to take such measures in 2015? We should never kill apostates whatsoever, people should be free to believe whatever they like. Laws go against that too. And pretty much every religion attributes a housewife role to women, so this argument is invalid (except for the mysogyny of many leaders who do take away from women's rights). Many Islamic countries like Algeria or Morocco, for example, are very moderate and peace-loving, and let women be equal to men. Because over there, there is democracy, not totalitarian monarchy.

When making a portrait of Islam, you should read the whole book before judging. There is a lot about the respect of family, friends, being helpful and good to people. It's not just passages with no context which show the lack of civilization 14 centuries ago. If you only look at this side of all religions, none of them would be remotely likeable. They all have their ugly sides.
