Take their words with a grain of salt , they're all around this Sub ranting on Sasuke.
While definitely less than stellar ,( Sasuke VS Isshiki's trap detection ) it's far from the worst in the game. It just takes a minimal ammount of skill to use considering that it detects the Traps once the Jutsu lands. For actual worst Trap Detections, check Edo Itachis Original EX-Kit Trap Detection, Hashiramas Original EX-Kit Trap Detection and so on ( Even Boruto VS Momos' Trap Detection is incredibly lackluster ).
Anyhow, 2 things :
1 ) Damn ! on that Sasuke V2 Clip.
2 ) Itachi V2 is unfortunately a product of his time. He was good when he came out since :
- He had Trap Detection ( Which wasn't as commonplace in that Meta as it is now where everyone has it ). It was also important because not every Unit had CP Regen then and those Chakra Sapping Statues could cripple you for the entire Mission.
- Could hit through I-Frames ( Also not commonplace then. In fact, one of the most annoying Defenders in the game at the time was OG Narulight because he had consecutive I-Frames, making him a nightmare to beat ) and apply Paralysis and Seal ( Also pretty great considering that those damn Youth Trophies hadn't come out yet so it was hard for Units to hit 100% Resistance on more than one debuff ) .
- He had good SpawnKill with his ( Current ) Limit Break and could Snipe installments.
- Good Ult for SpawnKilling and GateCrashing, like you said.
Unfortunately, right after them we had one of the worst case of Powercliffing we've seen in Voltage. Itachi V2 and Sasuke V2 were released ( If memory serves ) right after the Narulight, Warkura, Sasushadow Banners on Anni. One month after, we had Tsunade and Jiraiya , both Units that not only outdid Itachi V2 and Sasuke V2 , but also the Anni Units.
As if this weren't enough, one month later ( Again, if iirc ) Bandai released Narukages and Sasuke WNs' EX-Kits, making them by far the most broken Units in the game. Sasuke could Solo Bases in less than a Minute with a High Level Ult , and Narukage was still Usable until they released the Final Valley Units ( Albeit his worth was greatly diminished by then ).
Sasuke and Itachi ( V2 both ) could just not compete anymore. They somewhat tried to fix them by giving them faux Limit Breaks in a recent AOM, and while they did improve them somewhat, they're still lacking.
On a more positive note , with the release of the Pre-Anni and Anni Units, Bandai introduced Characters with more than one LB. Therefore, it's in the realm of possibility that both Itachi V2 and Sasuke V2 get Rekits down the line.
\* Adjusts tinfoil hat * \* Snorts copium \* It might not even be that far away. Bandai has an annoying habbit of releasing Itachis after Annis , probably because he's a fan favourite and a lot of players summon on him.
Think about it :
- Itachi V2 Rekit was released after the Narulight/Warkura/Sasushadow Anni.
- Anbu Itachi was released after the FV Units Anni.
- Itachi V1 got his LB Rekit shortly after the Boruto/Momoshiki Anni , and like a month later Edo Itachi got his LB Rekit as well.
( Sasuke doesn't get the same treatment because he's predominantly released on Annis )
It's possible he's getting a Rekit soon. \* Takes tinfoil hat off \*
