[El Gato Malo] Yes, Pfizer marketed the vaccines as stopping spread

I’m not anti vaccination at all. I support getting vaccinated and otherwise doing whatever you can to reduce the spread and your chance of becoming seriously ill. I think vaccines are one of the greatest human inventions. I do however think it was irresponsible that they didn’t have people understand nothing is 100% and it cannot reduce the spread 100%. All it can do is reduce severity of symptoms (which in consequence can sometimes reduce likelihood of spread). People got vaccinated but stopped keeping up with other things like hygiene, wearing a mask when feeling sick, etc.

I don’t think we will ever truly be “immune” to COVID-19, similar to how we are never immune to any other cold or even influenza. It spreads way too rapidly and therefore mutates rapidly. Maybe to some variants, but it will be around forever much like influenza (which I wish people would take more seriously. No really, the flu is brutal.)
