Jared Rutledge fancied himself a big man of the “manosphere.” But when his online musings about 46 women were exposed, his whole town turned against him.

again I would argue( and I don't really like arguing) that you only understand TRP and seduction superficially.

About the TRP being darker, first the point of that sub is a specific approach to moderation. Instead of "insulting" the reader they let a wide rage of opinions and viewpoints get discussed. TRP is like a supermarket, you go there and see all this stuff get discussed, some contradictory, some a little insane, you read some comments and then you reflect upon what is being said. And only then you take what you need! It's a tool and this is how it should be used. Also, there are many exaggerations and other "literary devices"( that's the word?) being used to add more nuance and depth. For example, when somebody says AWALT( all women are like that). It could mean a) all women are like that or b) a substantial enough number of women act like that c) Some women act like that, but because it's something you can't know unless you are a mind reader,it's safer to assume the worst case scenario and "inflate" the numbers, just in case.

Again,It's not like "all the world is wrong,I am right", It's like "probably the world wronged you, here is a place where you can get some information, it's up to you to decide what to do with it".

Add in the fact, that no matter how moderate you are, people will still accuse you of doing this and that, many users there simply stopped giving a fuck( u/gaylubeoil being a good example) and just started writing in a very specific way saying incendiary things that can easily be misunderstood just because they are tired of being the "bad guys" so fuck it...

As for your last point, yes , it is reductionist. Like I said, this started from RPG gamers. To get to the good stuff level up, go kill rats first, later there's more interesting stuff to discover.
