Yeah it’s weird that people like BAP see Jews as cold and insectoid with calculating minds when so many artists are Jews and they’re great preservers/appreciators of culture. Like sure there are banker types galore but even lots of them are pretty artistically minded. I find the whole neurotic thing to also contradict accusations of coldness. Of course Jew jokes are funny but when it’s serious it’s sad to me.

I’m half Jewish on my dad’s side and didn’t have a bar mitzvah or whatever so it doesn’t count but I still like having family members who are Jewish and knowing that my grandma escaped the Holocaust (and lost her grandparents to it) makes me feel some sort of connection to Judaism. Not saying I’m “culturally Jewish” or whatever but I appreciate them as a people.
