I was Just Robbed at Gunpoint in the Highlands

OP I'm sorry this happen to you.

But you might want to read up on the laws and learn what constitutes killing in self defense. Not trying to be a dick but from your post you sound border line like George Zimmerman. You claim the robbers where amateurs and little punks. Then going on to say they were about as scary as pan handlers. Then you go on to say "by law I could have killed the punks."

A) either you were scared and are to stubborn to admit it. Hence why you felt deadly force was necessary.

Or

B) you really weren't scared and had no justification for taking a life.

Now I'm sure I will be downvoted. But I am a supporter of guns. But the reason why new laws are being proposed is to avoid thinks like what Zimmerman did. People want to do away with stand your ground laws because people view that law the way you are viewing it OP. Go ahead and downvote me all you want. But stating these kids were amateurs and not scary, to then say I could have killed them and it would have been okay, makes gun owners look bad. Either study up on the law or don't get a gun. At the moment you are not fit enough to own one if you think not being scared is justifiable for killing. Chances are you were scared and that's why you mentioned the owning of a gun. But look either state you were sacred or else you just look like a George Zimmerman wondering the streets looking for punks to kill. Not at all saying you are George Zimmerman. Just reading it sounds border line Zimmerman. You claim they aren't scary then go on to talk about how you could have killed them. Well sorry but by law you couldn't have if you truly weren't at fear for your life. stop letting your ergo get the best of you so you don't make gun owners look bad. You were scared and that's what justified wanting to use deadly force. If you really weren't scared and wanted them dead then don't get a gun.
