What's going on at Poplar Level Road?!

Right so to get the materials to build my cargo trailer I'm supposed to do what, borrow somebody's pet burro? Bikes are already an option, cars are not the only option anywhere except the freeway. You bite guys cry constantly about how you're being underserved but the problem is you're really a tiny little group and you're demanding a disproportionate share of the tax dollars to build your special bike lanes and stuff at the same time as you're complaining that nobody's treating you like a regular motor vehicle with regards to right of way. You guys don't want to be a regular motor vehicle you want to be special magical unicorn Vehicles if they get your own roads and don't have to follow the rules when you're driving on real roads. Maybe if there was some demonstration that you would use the facilities that have already been provided to you at significant expense then maybe the rest of us who pay for our roads with our gas tax might feel less hostile about it. I live in Belknap which is sort of the epicenter of bike route stuff in the city and I never see bikes on the bike routes unless it is a 75° beautiful sunny afternoon on the weekend. And that's not real frequent. I didn't own a car until I was in my 20s I wrote a bicycle everywhere and that was both in the highlands and off of Westport road so I understand that there is a lack of facility for bicycles to be used as primary transportation but I will also point out that even cars particularly in the highlands have gotten used to taking routes that are less dangerous than other routes or maybe that are wider streets or have a more comfortable profile of stoplights to Total Journey and I recommend that you guys sort of look into that for a while because there will never be a day when we stop Paving roads for cars so that we can pave bicycle roads and that's because most people don't want to ride a bike everyday. My father is almost 90 years old. This whole idea that cars are evil is basically saying that anybody who can't ride a bicycle should just stay home forever and I don't think that a guy that paid taxes for the last 80 years should really be told that shit. I have vicious sciatica from a decaying disc and it's real hard for me to ride a bike some days. And I'm really not comfortable with the idea that I might ride my bike someplace which would exaggerate my sciatica and leave me stranded wherever the hell I am because I can't even sit in the chair when it's acting up real bad but only enough the driver's seat of my car is always pretty comfortable. It's short-sighted to assume that a community can operate only on bicycles. Particularly when you keep in mind that some of us are old. I think the complaining about cars all the time it's sort of like saying you would rather rent be free. Yeah but guess what it ain't and it's not going to be. Wasting all your time complaining about how things are and wishing that they were different is not the same as getting it done, and people that sit around and bitch all the time and don't ever even acknowledge the reality of the situation that they are in generally fail
