Keylor Navas has the best goals/match ratio of the last 20 seasons at Real Madrid

Just becose we say Casillas is the greatest keeper in the history of the club doesn't mean any disrespect to Keylor.

You can't judge keepers with average shots faced. And to be honest, with no stat really. Especially when talking about two top keepers.

Iker was in his prime during tough times. Aging Cannavaro, Salgado. young Marcelo & Ramos. Metzelder, Heinze, Drenthe for a few years. Nothing compared to what we have today, even if they're still very inconsistent as a defence. For almost 10 years, he was arguably the best keeper in the world. He's won basically everything, as captain. His atletism, relfeces were something that you'll not see in a long time. His distribution and performances on corners were never the best; but the fact that he was regarded as one of the best (for me, the best) tells how good his other areas of keeping were. This of course showed when he got older, when he lost his confidence when Mourinho benched him, and when he got his injury.

It's ridiculous how two poorer years (where he wasn't as bad as some people have made him out to be) has made him look like shit for some people. Some people named him as one of the worst captains in another thread. Really? People accused him of leaking lineups to the press, but there is no proof what so ever. Wouldn't be suprised if Mourinho started these accusations becose their relation was completely destroyed in Mourinho's last year. Casillas was the perfect target; his wife is a journalist. Some fans love to blame him for everything. Suprised no one blamed him for the leaked contracts this year.

And I want so say once again none of this is disrespect to Keylor. Saying he has been unbelievable isn't even enough. He has saved us this season in every match. In every single one. The two saves he made from indirect freekicks is a perfect way to tell how good he has been; he's so quick, his reactions are fantastic, takes the angle off the attacker perfectly. If he does this for the next few years, who knows, maybe he'll as a keeper be looked closer to Casillas. but as a legendary status Casillas will always be the best.
