Kylian Mbappe has become the youngest player to score in a Champions League semi-final (18 years & 140 days).

This massive hype worries me. It almost makes me wish Monaco failed in the CL. He's a special talent but the amount of moving and attention an 18 year old is getting isn't right. I hope he chooses a club next, if he decides to move this summer, is the club he will stay with for a long time. He has the potential to be a top player in Europe (maybe already is according to some) but few ever live up to it. Sure he scored in a semi final down 4-0, that alone doesn't mean he's the greatest ever and the media throwing this everywhere is a shame and nearly a determant to youth. We've all seen it before. I could care less about a club getting fucked buying him, it's what he is about to have to live up too. Ronaldo and Others who went for This money we're talking even adding in inflation are far superior to what's he's done (pogba is 24, Ronaldo also, Higuian, Suarez etc). were older when bought and proved it for several years. I honestly wish him the best and hope he has people who have his best interest in mind and not their own. He alone isn't what got Monaco to where they did , though I fully admit he was a massive part. Time will tell and I hope it all works out but seeing this type of thing gives me a moral dilemma. The biggest saving grace for him is that he's been at Monaco for several years and that consistency is what these young players need (obviously there are exceptions). As you can see I'm conflicted, maybe he can flourish and become a GREAT player but the way football is going i find it hard to see he'd be getting the chances he does now at Barca, Real, Bayern, he does now, at least for 1 more year. But at the same time take the opportunity and money when it comes, never know what could happen if you pass it up for another year.
