Liz Truss facing rural rebellion over anti-nature ‘growth’ push

Wow, I don't know that I saw him as being left wing, but he's definitely centrist. And yeah, he just joined the Tories cos he's bent- he's just a chancer, isn't he.

But Truss is scary- she's evil. AND stupid as well- even if the economy would improve through cutting taxes for the rich, that won't happen over night, meanwhile, we have a terrible winter looming, to the point I wouldn't be surprised to see riots (I can remember the poll tax riots, and the Brixton, Toxteth etc ones). She's an idiot if she thinks she will come out of it still in power; she's not Thatcher (who got "lucky" anyway, with the Falklands).

I'm uncomfortable sticking up for him, but I think Boris truly cares about the environment, so I disagree that he has no scruples other than choosing what's best for himself. A lot of the policy he passed wasn't big vote wining things, it was small things, like more money to protect bridleways etc, but it still matters as much as big schemes. Its still quality of life- for us, and birds and mammals.

Blair I hated cos he did nothing for the environment- sure solar was expensive, but he should've insulated social housing (which'd be a GIANT help now), and made stronger insulation regs for all new builds, inc commercial, AND renationalised pubic transport. But I guess he was too busy, off on another freebie holiday at Silvio "Bunga Bunga!" Berlusconi's villa.
