Long work days :(

Every job I've had the days went by super quick.

Delivering furniture in the city; over 40 hour work weeks but days just flew by and it was actually fun meeting like 10 new people and seeing their houses/apartments every day. It paid decent for being 18-19 (125 a day plus tips which could be from 10-100).

Working at a propane plant, had to work outside because of the gas, and days flew by because we were serving customers all day / meeting new people and talking. Honestly paid alright, I had to get a license; that was provided for free, paid $21 an hour. Which I was satisfied with at 20-23

Then I worked at Home Depot merchandising/ sales and those days were the fastest days, the pay was shit $15 an hour, but I had good benefits, 2 weeks paid vacation a year, and they did profit sharing; which was nothing but getting a couple hundred bonus every once in a while was good. My days flew by because they were so busy and I was basically with customers from 6 am to 2:30 everyday. I actually used to look forward to certain people coming in.

This year I worked landscaping, which was most likely the most fun I've ever had at work. I was good friends with my boss, and I honestly looked forward to going to work everyday. I learnt skills for doing some basic landscaping like brick patios, walkways, gardens, planting trees.....etc. I honestly would do that for the rest of my life but the pay was so unbelievably shit for the labour $17 an hour, though if I was more skilled I could make much more, it just takes a lot of experience.

What I'm getting at is maybe you aren't cut out to be at a desk job, I've done desk job for a couple months before and quit because I was paying attention to the clock the entire time and couldn't handle it.

Right now I'm going into Environmental Tech trades work and I'll be outside and in different places all day everyday, which basically is my dream job.

Not saying you should change professions but maybe you really just aren't cut out to be stationary. I personally can't stand it.

I went to University for Economics and dropped out with 6 months because I hated it; I'm an idiot for not going to trades right away. A lot of my friends that went through with it have decent jobs though, and they're much more financially secure than me.

I'm just willing to do shitty jobs if they are active and pay decent enough, the idea of being stuck in an office or at a desk for the rest of my life makes me depressed, I'd rather work landscaping; what I did this year, than that.
