Not gonna be of any real help here but will give your post a bump.

I have a fairly new android 10" Onn tablet [$125] that I use solely for bedside monitoring, I usually open the Reolink app for a single camera and then hit the power button. On an alert, it wakes to that screen 'most' of the time, or the gyro opens it just by picking it up.

Now I say most of the time as once in a while it reverts back to the home screen and I have to open the app again, but that only happens when I need it the most. /s

At one time, I used TinyCam pro with the keep-alive app with no problems and may have to try that again just as a test for my overnight venues when I hear my NVR beep at 2 am. There is nothing worse than trying to open an app with no response and then having to close down all open windows just to re-open when an alarm is beeping.
