What gym should I join? Mt Albert

As a sales manager for one of the gyms (Health & Sports) i have decent knowledge of local clubs.

YMCA is great in terms of value if your working on a budget or just want the cheapest option & generally tends to have more in the way of equipment than most of the 24 hour clubs, also the 24 hour clubs often aren't allowed certain equipment due to not being constantly staffed so that can cause issues.

If your into training with a group in classes etc then there's either ourselves (we have 50+ classes per week) & also a great little gym called Habitat For Fitness which do heaps of cool classes and are quite unique compared to most gyms/fitness centers.

For swimming we are recommended especially because the Mt Albert aquatic center is currently closed for repairs for the next 6-8 months, we have a 4 lane 25m pool open all hours (5.30am-10pm) and also have several classes including Aqua Aerobics & Aqua bump & we do pool only memberships.

Then you have other places like boxing central etc or even boot camp options available for most days in the area, Sweat Camp NZ would probably be the most popular boot camp company in the area.

We have memberships anywhere from $15-25 a week and include regular training with all our members, we find this helps them actually achieve what they came for and keeps people motivated, also we don't charge for any of our classes including cycle unlike some gyms (currently $10 per class at Les Mills).

There's also a new company just about to enter Auckland called K-Fit, If you have membership with them you can actually use several different branches of clubs in Auckland and just pay them the one fee.

If anyone would be keen to come and try us out for 7 days FREE then give me a call on 09-845-3305 or text GYM to 2414. Even if your not to keen on getting started with us I'd be happy to advise you on which gym suits you best depending on what type of training you want.

Either way there's heaps of different options so I'm sure there's some type of local training to suit anyone's needs.
