Looking at the Nightforce NX8 4-32x50 vs Vortex Razor Gen 2 4.5-25x56. Tell me why/why not or other recommendations.

I have (3) of those Gen2 Razors, they're solid optics. You're not going to beat Vortex's CS. I dropped my 20# rifle, scope first, on to a giant rock. It hit hard, turrets first. They sent me a call tag and made it like-new. I had the scope back in under 7 days.

I had to send my NF NXS back one time, after about 10 years of use, it had a wandering zero issue. The NF CS guy insisted my base was loose. I told him the action's base was integral, it is impossible for it to be loose unless it's cracked off from the action itself. He came up with every excuse why the scope was fine ... even though he'd never inspected it. When he finally capitulated, I had to send it back on my dime and told me the repair backlog was weeks long.
